Lost Our Home Pet Foundation
December 31st, 2010

I want to wish you all a safe and happy New Year and a heartfelt thank you for making it possible to rescue so many pets this year.  Everyone's contribution between fostering, volunteering and donating this year has helped over 400 pets!!  I just ran a report and in the past 12 months we took into the rescue exactly 400 pets, but we have many more that we are in the process of taking in that are not in our database system yet (still trying to find fosters for).  We have found homes for 342 pets (this include the pets that were returned to the owner that we had for temporary fostering).  We have also collected and distributed over 100,000 pounds of pet food through our food bank, paid thousands of dollars in vet care for pets in pain when the owner could not afford it, and have done Trap, Alter, Release on over 120 feral cats since that program started late this year.  This is an incredible achievement for a new rescue in it's first full calender year being open (especially without having a shelter) and none of it could have been done without combined effort of all the wonderful, caring people who helped.  I know with everyone's support that we will be able to help more and more pets as we grow the rescue together.
