COMMISSION POLICY CHANGE BY ARMLS

Effective June 24, 2009 the ARMLS Board of Directors has changed the short sale commission policy and aborted the policy as mandated by NAR. This was done in recent NAR meetings and approved by the membership to make the prior policy "optional" as opposed to mandatory. Several state boards spearheaded this effort and ARMLS presented the motion to change the policy. It was adopted and passed by the membership and is now effective. To read about these changes, you should go to www.armls.com  put in your password and click on rules and policies, the go down to the short sale policy and copy off the 7 pages of info which includes page 7 that tells of the impending fines for failure to comply. Also on page 4 is a link to the appeal and position of ARMLS written by the ARMLS CEO and other state boards. It is 12 pages and I have saved it on my computer.
Sooo, ARMLS has gone back to the old way of offering compensation and I for one am happy with the job done by our Az. representatives in this issue.
